Like the many actors they support, some props and set pieces are fortunate enough to be welcomed back to the stage time and time again. Others are not so lucky. Despite playing a pivotal role in bringing a story to life, many props and set pieces are one hit wonders, designed and created for one purpose and one purpose only.  If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, what happens to these items? Where do props go to die? The answer isn’t always clear. Some live out their last days in storage while others assume new roles as monuments to the past, placed on shelves or hung high on walls to watch over the creation of future props and sets. Others still, are simply waiting to be repurposed.
